Data from QTL-seq analysis of seed protein quantity and quality traits in two soybean recombinant inbred line populations

Phenotype data: two RIL populations (POP179. POP180) grown in four location-year environments (Chatham 2020, Palmyra 2020, Ridgetown 2020, Ridgetown 2021) across southwestern Ontario. The populations were planted as RCBDs with two replications (blocks) per environment. Seed protein, cysteine, methionine, threonine, and lysine concentrations were measured as percent dry seed weight, using Perten DA 7250 SD NIR analyzer.Genotype Data: SNP marker data obtained from GBS using the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform. Sequences were aligned to the Gmax_275_v2 reference genome for variant calls.
