The Pirkanmaa regional plan 2040 is a general land use plan common to the entire county. It contains a description of the use of areas and the principles of urban development presented on the map. The plan resolves nationally, regionally and regionally significant land use issues.
The plan was drawn up by the Pirkanmaa Regional Council in cooperation with the county authorities, companies, communities and residents. The Regional Council of Pirkanmaa approved the regional plan on 27 March 2017, after which the Provincial Government ordered it to enter into force on 29 May 2017.
The spatial dataset of Pirkanmaa’s regional plan 2040 is a vector-shaped material covering the region of Pirkanmaa, which contains points, line and area-shaped objects whose markings, regulations and visualisation are listed in the publication Plan Markings and Regulations. The characteristics of the data also include the name, abbreviation of the letter and the name of the object.
