The magnetic alloy(MA) core-loaded cavity is a wideband coaxial resonator that uses MA cores as the loading material. The cavity has a low Q value and does not require tuning. However, due to the use of direct water cooling, the intrinsic impedance of the cavity is relatively low. The MA laoded cavity uses two TH558 high-power tetrodes for direct electrical coupling feeding. In order to improve the output performance of the tetrodes, it is necessary to increase the impedance of the cavity. The general practice is to adjust the resonant frequency and impedance of the cavity by connecting a parallel air-core inductor to the cavity. The image shows the power source consumption and cavity losses before and after the parallel inductor, demonstrating a significant reduction in both after the addition of the parallel inductor. The horizontal axis of the graph represents the tested voltage, while the vertical axis represents power.
