Geothermal probes

The creation of geothermal probes is subject to approval. The Office for Water and Waste of the Canton of Bern (AWA) is responsible for granting authorisations. The admissibility of geothermal probes depends on the geological and hydrogeological conditions in the underground. The card takes into account the influencing factors required for the authorisation of geothermal probes. Areas of substructures and cables are not taken into account. The presentation takes place in such a way that it is clear for each landowner whether a geothermal probe can be approved or not, whether there is a depth restriction or whether more precise clarifications are necessary.
