Data and code underlying the manuscript "From declarative to machine-actionable openness: analysis of research data sharing in COVID-19 publications with Spanish-affiliated authors" (2020-2024)

This repository contains the model-ready datasets, Python scripts, model specifications, and complete statistical outputs supporting the manuscript “From Declarative to Machine-Actionable Openness: Analysis of Research Data Sharing in COVID-19 Publications with Spanish-Affiliated Authors”. The study covers COVID-19 publications from 2020 to 2024. The materials reproduce four statistical models examining the progression from declarative data availability to verifiable sharing, automated evaluability, and FAIR maturity. The repository includes separate analytical datasets and scripts for each model, a data dictionary, software requirements, and machine-readable results. The deposited datasets contain only the variables required to reproduce the statistical analyses. Article full texts, Data Availability Statement texts, original bibliographic records, personal information, and other third-party content are not included. The Python scripts are licensed under the MIT License. The model-ready datasets, data dictionary, and statistical outputs are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
