Metabarcoding studies for assessing communities is an important field in biodiversity and conservation biology today. In order to have reliable results, this study analyzed the performance of Illumina MiSeq on a mock community of known nematode composition. We used three genetic markers and looked for taxonomic resolution, taxonomic assignment via molecular databases and quantification.
