Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) often experience cognitive dysfunction, which significantly impacts their quality of life. However, the specific mechanisms by which CKD affects brain function, particularly at the molecular level, are not yet fully understood. This study aims to delve into the molecular mechanisms underlying cognitive impairment secondary to CKD using single-cell sequencing technology. We have collected hippocampal tissue samples from control mice and mice at various stages of CKD, and through single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) technology, we aim to identify and compare cellular heterogeneity and gene expression changes in the hippocampal tissue of control and CKD mice. Through this research, we hope to reveal the effects of CKD on the cellular level in the hippocampal tissue and how these changes are associated with cognitive dysfunction.
