McMurdo Dry Valleys LTER: Microbial algal mat biomass, measured as ash-free dry mass and chlorophyll-a, in the McMurdo Dry Valleys and Cape Royds, Antarctica from 1994 to present

As part of the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) project in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica, a systematic sampling program has been undertaken to monitor the glacial meltwater streams in that region. This dataset contains microbial biomass concentrations found in algal mats located in streams throughout the McMurdo Dry Valleys as well as in ponds of the nearby Cape Royds. Microbial mat biomass has been collected as part of the McMurdo LTER since the 1993-1994 field season and measured as ash-free dry mass (AFDM) and chlorophyll-a (Chl-a).作为南极洲麦克默多干谷长期生态研究（Long Term Ecological Research, LTER）项目的组成部分，科研团队已开展系统性采样计划，以监测该区域的冰川融水溪流。本数据集涵盖麦克默多干谷各溪流以及邻近的罗伊兹角（Cape Royds）池塘内藻类垫中的微生物生物量浓度数据。自1993-1994年野外季起，作为麦克默多LTER项目的一部分，科研团队已采集微生物垫生物量样本，并以无灰干重（ash-free dry mass, AFDM）与叶绿素a（chlorophyll-a, Chl-a）两项指标完成测定。
