Quantum magnets formed from spin-1/2 ions, show a range of exotic phenomena such as quantum critical scaling and spinon excitations as found in one-dimensional antiferromagnets, gapped excitations due to spin pairing in dimerized magnets and coherently fluctuating ground states as in frustrated quantum spin liquids. Here we wish to investigate the magnetic properties of a unique cubic quantum magnet Cu3WO6, which consists of a three-dimensional arrangement or hexagons coupled by triangles and which does not develop long-range magnetic order even down to lowest temperatures.

由自旋1/2离子构成的量子磁体,可展现出多种奇异物理现象:诸如一维反铁磁体中存在的量子临界标度与自旋子激发、二聚化磁体中因自旋配对产生的带隙激发,以及阻挫量子自旋液体中所观测到的相干涨落基态。本文拟研究一种独特的立方量子磁体Cu₃WO₆的磁学性质,该材料由三角形耦合而成的六边形构成三维结构,且即便在极低温环境下也不会形成长程磁有序。
