Area of absolute protection Sources

Following the entry into force of the Provincial Urban Plan (P.U.P.), approved by L.P. No. 5 of 27 May 2008, and the application of Article 21 of its implementing rules, in relation to the protection of water resources intended for human consumption, the Water Resources Charter was prepared. With the Resolution of G.P. n° 2248 of 5 September 2008 was therefore approved the Charter of Water Resources that identifies the sources, wells and surface waters used for drinking purposes with any flow rate including mineral water sources currently under concession as well as sources considered strategic for the peculiar characteristics of quality, quantity and vulnerability, even if not exploited for human use, which could constitute future reserves. The Water Resources Charter covers the whole of Trentino at a scale of 1/10,000 and identifies the following areas of protection: areas of absolute protection; areas of hydrogeological respect; protection zones.
