THE IMPORTANCE OF VOCABULARY TEACHING ON READING COMPREHENSION IN SECOND LANGUAGE LEARNERS

This study examines the importance of vocabulary teaching in improving reading comprehension among second language (EFL) learners. Vocabulary knowledge is a key factor in understanding written texts, as learners need to know the meanings of most words to comprehend a passage effectively. However, many learners have limited vocabulary, which negatively affects their reading ability and overall academic performance. In addition, traditional vocabulary instruction often focuses on memorization rather than meaningful use, leading to low retention and limited comprehension skills. So in this process I clarified effective methods and analyzed most useful games, methods and programs for improve learners vocabulary on reading comprehensions.
