Raw fish abundance and biomass data. from Assessing mesophotic coral ecosystems inside and outside a Caribbean marine protected area

Fish that were unable to be measured have been allocated the mean length as outlined in the methods. Each row represents an individual fish record. ‘name’ indicates fish family, genus and species in the format FAMILY_GENUS_SPECIES. ‘weight.g’ gives the estimated fish weight in g. ‘length.cm’ gives the measured fish length in cm. ‘family’, ‘genus’, ‘species’, ‘depth’, ‘transect’, and ‘site’ give the fish family, genus, species, survey depth (m), transect number at the site, and site respectively. Sites were: CO – Colombia, HE – Herradura, PJ – Palancar Jardines, PT – Punta Tunich, PU – Purgatorio, SR – Santa Rosa, TT – Transito Transbordador, VB – Villa Blanca. ‘range.mm’ indicates the distance from the stereo-DOV in mm that the fish was measured at.
