This dataset contains spatial data of 1,121 World Heritage Sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. As of June 2020, these heritage sites are distributed across 167 countries and regions, including 869 cultural sites, 213 natural sites, and 39 mixed sites. The three countries with the largest number of inscribed World Heritage Sites are China and Italy (each with 55 sites), followed by Spain with 48 sites.
