Fish Trade Dataset

This dataset relates to the book <em>Ireland’s Sea Fisheries, 1400-1600: Economics, Environment and Ecology</em>, for more information on how it was generated, see Appendix 2 of that volume. The data was collected from a variety of sources to study Ireland’s export of fish in the late medieval and early modern periods. The data is focused on the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries but contains data for the seventeenth century as well. The data presented here was initially part of a relational database constructed in Microsoft Access but has since been extracted and is presented here as a single spreadsheet.
