Here is the dataset supporting the work titled: "Functional Interrogation of Neuronal Subtypes via Intersectional Expression of Optogenetic Actuator Reveals Non-linear Components in a Linear Circuit" by Tiannuo Li*, Sandeep Kumar*, Hoikiu Poon, Andrew M Leifer, and Chaogu Zheng (*co-first authors)Link to the work: https://doi.org/10.1101/2025.02.03.636179 The dataset has three folders:whole_field_illumination: This folder contains the dataset related to the whole field illumination of all the strains used in this study. This dataset is used to generate the plots for Figure 2.targeted_illumination: This folder contains the dataset related to the targeted illumination at the head and/or tail of the three strains All TRN, ALM+PLM, and AVM+PLM. This dataset is used to generate the plots for Figure 3. Here is the order of stimulus intensities (in uW/mm2) in which the data is arranged in 1x9 cell: H=0, T=0; H= 0, T=40; H=0, T=80; H=40, T=0, H=40, T=40, H=40, T=80; H=80, T=0; H=80, T=40; and H=80, T=80.AVM_and_PLM_whole_field_illumination_multiple_intensity: This folder contains the dataset related to the whole field illumination of the AVM+PLM strain used in this study. This strain was illuminated with 20, 40, 80, 100, and 150 uW/mm2. This dataset is used to generate the plots for Figure 4.The code used to collect and analyze the behavioral dataset is available at https://github.com/leiferlab/kumar-touch-neuron-subtypes.git
