Study on the relationship between gut microbiota and diseases in crocodile lizard

We found in July 2021 that the crocodile lizards suffered from some unknown disease that even caused their death.Therefore, we used full-length 16S rRNA high-throughput gene sequencing technology on the gut of crocodile lizards to understand whether the gut microbes of crocodile lizards were associated with this disease. In addition, we compared the structure of the microbiota of the gut of crocodile lizards with the microbiota of their living environment and food, and then traced the composition of the gut microbes of diseased crocodile lizards to analyze the source of the threat.
