This dataset comprises a checklist of alien invasive plants found within the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The checklist includes the Chinese common name, Latin scientific name, the affiliated family, and the number of occurrence records for each species in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. This checklist was developed based on the *Checklist of Alien Invasive Plants in China* to identify major alien invasive plant species in China. Subsequently, occurrence records of these species across China were retrieved from the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) website to screen out those distributed in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and the count of species per family and their respective occurrence records were tallied. Species without corresponding records on the GBIF website were excluded from the statistical analysis. This dataset provides a compiled checklist of invasive plant species in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which can serve as a reference for relevant academic research.
