Database of pile loading tests in Cork City, Ireland

This database introduces a publicly available dataset of some 83 pile tests from 33 sites in Cork City, Ireland. Ground conditions in Cork City are poor and the majority of the piles are founded in fluvio-glacial sands and gravels. The pile test data is accompanied by available data on ground conditions at the sites, which mostly comprises the results of standard penetration tests (SPT) and particle size distribution tests (PSD). There is a paucity of full scale pile loading tests in gravelly soils published in the literature and the database will be of value to both local engineers and those working internationally in similar ground conditions.

本数据库收录了爱尔兰科克市（Cork City）33个场地共计83项桩基试验的公开数据集。科克市场地地质条件较差，绝大多数桩基均以冰水沉积砂与砾石层作为持力层。本数据集同步附带各场地的配套地质条件数据，主要包含标准贯入试验（Standard Penetration Test, SPT）与颗粒级配试验（Particle Size Distribution Test, PSD）的测试结果。目前公开文献中针对砾石土层的全尺寸桩基荷载试验数据较为匮乏，本数据库无论对于本地岩土工程师，还是在同类地质条件下开展工作的国际从业者，均具备较高的参考价值。
