This dataset includes the input and result files of the numerical models used for the paper "Modelling large deflections through reduced-order multibody structures in the floating frame of reference formulation", as well as the scripts used to produce the plots in the paper.In this paper, a method for modelling slender structures using the floating frame of reference formulation (FFRF) and reduced-order models generated from 3D solid finite elements (using the Hurty/Craig-Bampton method) is presented. It is based on a multibody approach, such that large deflections can be captured, and interface modes are used to reduce the interface degrees-of-freedom.
