Bacillus mojavensis is a endophytic bacteria of the Agave plant and a component of the probiotic microbiota of Agave aguamiel and pulque. Beverages fermented with Bacillus mojavensis have shown multiple health benefits. The aim of of this study was to gain a better understanding of the genes and metabolic pathways implicated in the observed beneficial effects of Bacillus mojavensis fermented beverages.
