资源简介:
Enterococci constitute an simportant component of the lactic acid bacteria normally present in theintestinal microflora. Enterococcus durans is a minor component of the intestinal microbiota of humans and domestic animals . It is commonly found in animal-derived food products, especially milk and cheese . E. durans KLDS 6.0930 was isolated from traditional naturally fermented cream in China. In a previous in vitro gastrointestinal tract tolerance test, it was reported that E. durans KLDS 6.0930 could resist simulated gastric juice, intestinal juice and bile salt, adhere to Caco-2 cells and have a potential to assimilate cholesterol. In addition, the potential effect of E. durans KLDS 6.0930 on serum cholesterol levels was evaluated in Sprague-Dawley rats. After 4 weeks administration, compared with rats fed a high-cholesterol diet without lactic acid bacteria supplementation, there was a significant (P < 0.05) decrease in the total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels in the serum of rats treated with E. durans KLDS 6.0930.
