Respiration of Coarse Woody Debris in the Clearcut Site at Harvard Forest in 2011

This study explored the effects of log position and microclimate variability on the rates of coarse woody debris (CWD) respiration. The rates of respiration of downed Norway spruce (Picea abies) logs were repeatedly measured in-situ using an LI-6200 gas analyzer. Treatments included native logs in the clearcut site, native logs in a neighboring mature spruce stand, and logs transferred from the clearcut site to the mature spruce stand.本研究探讨了原木位置与微气候变异对粗木质残体（coarse woody debris, CWD）呼吸速率的影响。研究采用LI-6200型气体分析仪，对倒伏的挪威云杉（Picea abies）原木的呼吸速率进行了多次原位重复测定。实验处理共分为三组：皆伐迹地上的原生原木、邻近成熟云杉林分内的原生原木，以及从皆伐迹地移栽至成熟云杉林分的原木。
