Ear morphology in the Damaraland mole-rat, Fukomys damarensis (Rodentia: Bathyergidae)

This data-set of 8-bit JPEG files represents CT scans of the basicrania of four Fukomys damarensis mole-rats (DMR0, DMR1, DMR2, DMR3), a whole head scan of DMR1, and a collective scan of the isolated ear regions of three Heterocephalus glaber specimens (NMR1, NMR7 and NMR9). Each folder includes a CT parameter settings text file (.xtekct or .log) which contains the voxel size. The DMR scans are of ex-experimental animals from the colony at the University of Illinois in Chicago. The skulls are damaged. The NMR specimens were also from ex-experimental animals, in this case from colonies at the University of Cambridge, UK. These CT scans were made by John Peacock (DMR scans) and Matthew J. Mason (NMR scan) as part of a project entitled "Ear morphology in the Damaraland mole-rat, Fukomys damarensis (Rodentia: Bathyergidae)".
