"This dataset provides one hour of raw, time-synchronized measurements collected with a shipborne instrumentation platform for multimodal sea-ice mapping. The sensor suite comprises a LiDAR scanner for fine-grained 3D surface geometry, an RGB camera for colorization and visual interpretation, and embedded IMU and GNSS sensors to support motion estimation and georeferencing. Data were acquired during an Arctic Ocean campaign in September 2024 with the system mounted on the railing of the Norwegian icebreaker Kronprins Haakon, approximately 17 m above sea level and oriented toward the surrounding ice. The recording covers vessel transit through leads in ice conditions ranging from thin, newly formed ice (nilas) to heavily deformed ridge fields. In addition to raw sensor streams, the release includes pre-calibrated sensor intrinsics and extrinsics required for transforming measurements between reference frames and enabling LiDAR\u2013camera fusion, as well as baseline navigation data from the vessel\u2019s internal navigation solution to support evaluation and benchmarking. The dataset is intended to support research on real-time sea-ice mapping, multimodal perception, and shipborne navigation and monitoring in ice-covered waters."
