Contemporary LDS Worship Services Metadata Corpus (2024)

<p data-path-to-node="0">This metadata-only corpus contains 245,827 annotated speech blocks extracted from over 13,000 anonymized Latter-day Saint (LDS) worship services across the United States from 2024. Captured via the YouTube API and processed through a validated LLM pipeline (Gemini 2.5 Pro), the dataset categorizes liturgical genres—including talks, testimonies, and prayers—alongside attributed speaker demographics (gender and age). Each record is enriched with county-level (FIPS) metadata, joining religious participation rates with socioeconomic indicators and 2024 presidential election results. By removing raw transcript text and anonymizing congregational IDs, this dataset provides a privacy-preserving resource for the large-scale quantitative study of "lived religion," institutional correlation, and the impact of local political geography on religious discourse.</p>
