In the Provincial Environment Plan Drenthe, POP-1 of Dec 16, 1998, an ecological connection zone is indicated on map 3. This is a connection between nature reserves (with new or restored nature). Ecological connection zones are created to enable the migrating of animals and plants between nature reserves.
