Kafoa Corpus

Digital video recordings of Kafoa language data, their transcriptions and translations in Alor Malay or Indonesian and English, in notebooks and Toolbox files. Texts include a list of brideprice items, historical narratives, folk stories, and data collected as a part of a survey consisting of a word list, elicited sentences and Mercer Meyer's "The Frog Story".

Materials were collected on fieldwork trips in 2003 and 2004. The materials collected in 2003 were a part of a survey of the languages of West Alor. The materials collected in 2004 were collected opportunistically, while undertaking fieldwork into the neighbouring language of Klon. All data was recorded in the hamlet of Habollat.

Written materials:
NB Notebook. One notebook was used in 2004 to collect elicited data, and transcribe, gloss and translate the video recorded texts. Blank pages were not included in the collection.

ABK Alor Books. The ‘Alor Books’ are handwritten notebooks containing survey data from 2003. The numbering of notebooks is based on the number assigned to the physical notebook. Blank pages were not included in the collection.

本数据集收录卡福阿语（Kafoa language）的数字视频录音、配套转写文本，以及以阿洛马来语（Alor Malay）、印尼语或英语完成的译稿，存储于笔记本与Toolbox文件中。收录文本涵盖聘礼清单、历史叙事、民间故事，以及作为调查组成部分收集的词汇表、诱导式语句与默瑟·迈尔（Mercer Meyer）的《青蛙故事》（The Frog Story）。

所有调研素材均采集于2003年与2004年的田野调查行程中。2003年采集的素材为西阿洛诸语言调查项目的组成部分；2004年采集的素材则是在邻近语言克朗语（Klon）的田野调查过程中随机收集所得。全部数据均采集自哈博拉特（Habollat）村落。

书面材料：
NB笔记本（Notebook）：2004年使用一本该笔记本采集诱导式语句数据，并对视频录制文本开展转写、加注释语及译制工作。本次采集未纳入空白页面。
ABK阿洛丛书（Alor Books）：该系列为手写笔记本，收录2003年的田野调查数据，笔记本编号以实体笔记本的官方编号为准，本次采集未纳入空白页面。
