资源简介:
These data are part of a crustacean age determination project. Specifically, these data describe fluorescence of gastric mill ossicles and eyestalks of red king crab, snow crab, and spot shrimp in relation to calcein exposure to evaluate chemical marking as a form of age and growth validation. The data set consists of one comma separated file exported from a Microsoft excel workbook. The data consists of 1. image green channel intensity data, 2. animal size, sex, molting data, shell condition, and 3. brachial chamber and calcein mark application data. Red king crab (Paralithodes camtschaticus) and Tanner crab (Chionoecetes bairdi) were collected near Juneau, Alaska between April 7, 2015 and April 14, 2015. Spot shrimp (Pandalus platyceros) were collected from Tenakee Inlet in Southeast Alaska during an Alaska Department of Fish and Game assessment survey in September 2015. Sex and shell condition were recorded at the time of collection. Carapace length/width and chela height were taken with digital calipers and recorded for each individual. All specimens were held at Lena Point Laboratory of the University of Alaska Fairbanks and held for the duration of the experiment.
