DDS1 - Dataset of patch images derived from sputum smear microscopy images for the development of bacillus detection methodsThis is a dataset of 40x40 pixels-patches extracted from digital field images of smear microscopy for tuberculosis. It contains 2,636 positive patches and 28,848 negative patches, dividing into the training, validation and testing sets. Patches are said to be positive when they contain a bacillus, and negative when they do not. A binary mask is generated for each positive patch, with a black background and white bacillus. This dataset was generated to enable the training, validation, and testing of algorithms for bacilli detection in sputum smear microscopy images.The folders are individually stored as tar.gz archives, for a total size of 69 MB.
