Groundwater monitoring stations in Dusseldorf

The dataset contains information on groundwater monitoring stations in Düsseldorf. Out of a total of 23 wells, measured values are automatically transmitted. The Environmental Office of Düsseldorf has prepared this data on the Online-Pegel — Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf website. In our own record we offer this automatically collected data as JSON files. Another dataset contains statistical key figures for all online levels. Geologically, Düsseldorf lies in a large lowering area, the Lower Rhine Bay. In the course of the recent development of earth history, the Rhine deposited sands and gravel in a width of up to 30 m. Since groundwater is easily accessible at an average corridor distance of 5 to 7 metres, this so-called low terrace is considered to be the most important groundwater reservoir. The water flows into the Rhine at a speed of 1 to 3 metres per day.
