GAPCORE Audit Release v1.0 This repository presents the first independent scientific audit of the GAPCORE project. The purpose of this release is not to introduce a new theory nor to claim definitive conclusions about language, suffering, or human morality. Instead, it documents the current state of the project in a transparent and reproducible way, clearly distinguishing between findings supported by the available evidence, working hypotheses, and questions that remain unresolved. GAPCORE originated from the hypothesis that human language may preserve observable patterns related to negativity, agency, context, and other linguistic markers. During the development of the project, it became increasingly clear that the project’s greatest contribution would not simply be the proposal of new indices, but the construction of a methodology capable of minimizing overinterpretation and improving scientific transparency. Accordingly, this release focuses on methodological auditing. The package includes: complete file inventory; integrity verification through SHA256 hashes; audit of scientific claims; current classification of every marker; independent reproduction of the principal statistical analyses; explicit documentation of methodological limitations; and a structured summary of hypotheses that remain open. Among the currently available markers, NEG showed the strongest evidence within the audited protocol. In the present corpus, the model remained statistically significant after controlling for text length, lexical richness, and punctuation, making it the most robust methodological result obtained so far. However, this release also explicitly acknowledges that: GAPCORE does not directly measure human morality; additional markers (such as AGENCY, CONTEXT, and IDX) still require further validation; the current corpus is predominantly literary; and broader generalization will require external validation and human annotation. This release represents a commitment to scientific humility. Rather than attempting to convince readers that GAPCORE is correct, it provides the documentation necessary for independent researchers to reproduce, audit, criticize, and improve the project.
