Lablab purpureus drought transcriptome

Lablab purpureus is an underutilized crop known for its drought tolerance. There's been limited research into the mechanisms of drought tolerance. To investigate how lablab responds to drought and recovers from it, we designed a three-timepoint drought experiment. Wild and domesticated lablab accessions were grown in a glasshouse for three weeks, after which they were exposed to drought by refraining from watering. Once a plant was visually significantly stressed, the plants were re-watered and grown for another three weeks. Samples were collected before drought treatment started, when plants became visibly stressed and 3 weeks after re-watering.
