资源简介:
Urban water environments, such as canals, harbours and estuaries are susceptible to contamination with antimicrobials and antimicrobial resistant (AMR) bacteria through domestic and industrial wastewater discharges and storm water overflows. There is potential for wildlife using these waters to acquire and transmit AMR bacteria and resistance genes of clinical importance. The aim of this study was to examine the prevalence and characteristics of clinically important AMR bacteria in urban waterfowl, specifically mute swans.
