These files contain various records relating to a patient's admission and treatment at Morisset Hospital for the Insane, later known as Morisset Mental Hospital and Morisset Hospital.Included are Schedule 3 doctors' certificates and ministerial and other orders issued under mental health legislation directing the admission, movement or removal of a patient; consultation, physical examination and treatment sheets; medication charts; history and progress notes; discharge summaries; details of relatives and persons for notification; correspondence with other medical facilities, agencies and family members; court subpoenas for attendance or the production of documents; notifications of death; and correspondence regarding funeral arrangements and estate matters.Some files are organised by the number of patient admission with tabs labelled accordingly.The files do not appear to have been boxed in any order, either by Medical Record Number, date or surname.
