Environmental Ordinance, Peil Decision Area

The level decision includes water levels or ranges within which water levels may vary under normal conditions. A level decision indicates to the residents/users of an area with different interests (such as dry feet, nature, agriculture, prevention, dry crawl space) which level is maintained. An interested party then knows what he or she can use. The obligation to adopt a leveling decision is imposed in the Environmental Regulation only for those areas where the water board can control water supply and drainage under normal conditions. These areas are recorded in this stock. The exact limit is determined by the water authority when the level decision is adopted. The water authority has the obligation to make efforts to maintain the water levels indicated in the level decision.
