The principal investigator collected primary data across different states in Malaysia for new cars registered over the years from 2012 to 2015. The data set consists of quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data are proxies for social economic factors, car prices and car characteristics, while qualitative data which are categorical data reflects factors or car features which car buyers took into account in their decision-making process.本研究的首席研究员采集了马来西亚各州市2012至2015年间登记的新车相关原始数据。本数据集涵盖定量数据与定性数据两大类别：定量数据为社会经济因素、车辆售价及车辆属性的代理变量；而定性数据，即分类数据（categorical data），则反映了购车者在决策过程中所考量的各类因素与车辆配置。
