CBS Population Cores 2011 ATOM

The population nuclei 2011 file contains key statistical figures per population nucleus. The delimitation of population nuclei resulted from a demand for figures at the level of population nuclei in Eurostat's 2001 Census Programme. The concept of population nucleus is in line with the concept of 'locality' that the United Nations uses in its recommendations for the conduct of a Census. In this definition of the concept and its application in practice, the presence of a human-inhabited area is central, which must also meet a number of conditions in terms of buildings.
