High-pressure synthesis of novel gold fluorides featuring gold in uncommon oxidation states

The aim of this project is the synthesis and structural investigation of novel gold fluorides where gold adopts uncommon oxidation states. The study is supported by theoretical calculations as well as by in-house Raman spectroscopy performed on a yet unknown Au-F compound, produced in a laser-heated diamond anvil cell.
