Testing cost-effective interventions to reduce E. coli and other contamination in Senegalese groundnut production and consumption

Data contain information on farming households in the Peanut Basin of Senegal, around the town of Kaolack. One household head, or a household member with knowledge of groundnut (peanut) production was interviewed. Questions covered demographic and socio-economic charcteristics of the household, and groundnut production, drying, storing, and sales practices. Measures of aflatoxins, coliforms, E.coli, and moulds in samples of stored groundnuts were conducted in a lab and associated with each household in the dataset.本数据集收录塞内加尔考拉克（Kaolack）镇周边花生盆地的农户相关信息。受访对象为农户户主，或熟悉花生（groundnut）生产知识的农户家庭成员。调研内容涵盖农户的人口统计学特征与社会经济属性，以及花生的生产、干燥、储存与销售实践。研究人员对数据集中各农户提交的储存花生样本开展了黄曲霉毒素（aflatoxins）、大肠菌群（coliforms）、大肠杆菌（E. coli）与霉菌（moulds）的实验室检测，并将检测结果与对应农户进行关联。
