Data from: Florida Handbook of Habitat Suitability Indices

The Habitat Suitability Index (HSI) Library lists the life-stage specific index values, changes made from the original set to the final set of values, and the freshwater habitat classification system used for the cover/substrate codes. The HSI Library is designed to be used in conjunction with the Florida Handbook of Habitat Suitability Indices. It is intended to be a living document in which updates can be made based on new information to promote consistency among users and keep pace with the state of the science. The overall objective for the Habitat Suitability Index Analysis project was to review the HSIs being used by the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), and to make revisions based on best professional judgement or empirical data collection so that each HSI is representative of the physical characteristics of Florida streams.
