This study focuses on the whole-genome resequencing of Hyaloscipha sp., a fungus isolated from an industrial wasteland in Vieux-Charmont, France, by the Chrono-environment laboratory at University Franche-Comte. As part of the EU HORIZON-BIOSYSMO project, the research aims to uncover the genetic mechanisms underlying the metal tolerance of Hyaloscipha sp. By conducting a thorough genomic analysis, the study seeks to identify specific genes and pathways that contribute to the fungus's ability to withstand and thrive in environments with high levels of heavy metal contamination.
