Virome Capture Sequencing Does Not Identify Active Viral Infection in Unicentric and Idiopathic Multicentric Castleman Disease

Castleman Disease is a rare, sometimes fatal lymphoproliferative disorder. For certain variants of the Disease, the cause is unknown. To explore the possibility that viral infection may cause a subset of cases, we performed high-throughput RNA sequencing of lymph node samples from patients with various types of Castleman Disease for the purpose of identifying novel viral associations for further study.
