UK-5099 is a pharmacological inhibitor of MPC1, a protein that transports pyruvate into mitochondria. Human hair follicles were treated with vehicle, and 10 µM and 40 µM UK-5099 for 48h ex vivo. RNASeq was performed to determine whether MPC1 inhibition induces transcriptional changes in the hair follicle.
