The Public Health Institute (PHI) defines Health in All Policies (HiAP) as a collaborative approach to improving the health of all people by incorporating health considerations into decision-making across sectors and policy areas. There are five key elements at the core of any HiAP approach, according to PHI: promoting health and equity; supporting intersectoral collaboration; creating co-benefits for multiple partners; engaging stakeholders; and creating structural or process change.
This is a longitudinal dataset displaying all HiAP bills introduced between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2016. As such, no bills introduced prior to January 1, 2012 are included.
