Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a systemic, chronic, and inflammatory autoimmune disease associated with the disorder of intestinal microbiota. The intestinal microbiota composition plays an important role in the development of AS. We constructed an animal model of AS and explored the effects of IAA against AS, with particular focus on the inflammatory response, intestinal barrier function, and intestinal microbiota disorder.
