Dataset: synthetic pack of spheres for image-based simulations

The dataset contains the locations and sizes of the spherical particles generated by the discrete element method that resembles the soil studied in Zhou et al. (2014), Water Resources Research, 50(12), 9630-9655, which serves as a platform to conduct image-based freezing simulations. This has been used for the validation exercise in our manuscript entitled "Image-based estimation of freezing characteristic curve for water-saturated porous media" submitted to Water Resources Research.本数据集收录了通过离散元法（Discrete Element Method）生成的球形颗粒的位置与尺寸参数，该颗粒体系与Zhou等人（2014）发表于《水资源研究》（Water Resources Research）第50卷第12期第9630-9655页的研究中所采用的土壤特征一致，可作为开展基于图像的冻结模拟的研究平台。本数据集已被应用于我们提交至《水资源研究》、题为《水饱和多孔介质冻结特性曲线的图像法估算》的稿件中的验证实验环节。
