The transcriptional regulator LysG of Mycobacterium tuberculosis activates lysE in a lysine-dependent manner

Whole genome expression analysis showed that Rv1985c protein controlled gene expression of additional genes such as ppsB, ppsC and ppsD. To evaluate what genes are under the transcriptional control of LysG(Mt), a whole genome expression analysis of Wt Mt (Wt_Mtb) and ΔlysG(1985c) was done. Both were grown in a minimal medium supplemented with 5 mM lysine as sole nitrogen source.
