The urban spot allows us to understand the evolution of urban sprawl from an analysis of MAJIC data and the Computerised Cadastral Plan. The principle is to allocate a construction date to buildings and to create buffer zones to define areas where construction is contiguous. In this way, we can define urban spots at different times, and evaluate the phenomena of urban expansion.
