The Townland is the smallest administrative division in Ireland. All other territorial divisions are collections of townlands.

Field Description
ENGLISH - Name of the Townland in English.
OBJECTID - Object Id of the Townland.
COUNTY - Name of the County Townland belongs to in English.
GAEILGE - Name of the Townland in Gaeilge.
LOGAINM_ID - Identifier for a place name page on the Placenames Database of Ireland.
SHAPE__AREA - Area of the shape of townland.
GUID - Global unique identifier.
SHAPE__LENGTH - Length of the shape of Townland.
CENTROID_X - X coordinate of the centroid.
GAELTACHT- Recognises that the Irish language is the predominant vernacular, or language of the home.
AREA - Area of the Townland.
PROVINCE - Province of the Townland.
TD_ID - Townland ID which can also be considered as a primary key.
CONTAE - County Name in Gaeilge.
CENTROID_Y - Y coordinate of the centroid.
POLYGON - Geometry Object of the townland.

SMALL AREA

Small area is created by consistent subdivision of an Electoral Division.

OBJECTID - Object Id of the Small Area.
CSOED - Central Statistics Office Electoral Division ID.
SHAPE__LENGTH - Length of the shape of Small Area.
COUNTYNAME - Name of the County Small Area belongs to in English.
SHAPE__AREA - Area of the shape of townland.
COUNTY - Abbreviation of the county.
ESRI_OID - Unique integer value generated by ArcGIS.
NUTS3NAME - Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics name for territories after division of regional assemblies.
NUTS3 - Code of the NUTS3NAME.
SMALL_AREA - Small Area ID which can also be considered as the primary key.
NUTS1NAME - Name of the Country.
EDNAME - Name of the Electoral Division.
GUID - Global Unique Identifier.
OSIED - OSI Electoral Division ID.
NUTS2NAME - Name of the Regional Assemblies.
NUTS1 - Code for NUTS1NAME.
NUTS2 - Code for NUTS2NAME.
POLYGON - Geometry Object of the Small Area.
