Asian longhorned beetle gut microbiota sequencing

Study aimed to assess if and how gut fungal and bacterial communities differ between Asian longhorned beetle (Anoplophora glabripennis) populations and throughout the gut of the insect. Populations exhibited different bacterial and fungal communities. Despite a physiological gradient throughout the gut of the insects, there were no differences in the communities of bacteria or fungi observed.
